This policy explains what Lemon Drip LLC collects when you use our website and the Venview application, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It applies to venview.io and to the Venview app.
Who we are
Venview is a product of Lemon Drip LLC, which provides software that helps food and beverage vendors understand the profitability of the events they work. You can reach us at contact@venview.io or by mail at 1186 N 500 W, American Fork, UT 84003.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your email address and password. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in readable form.
- Company and event information — company name, contact details, and the events, venues, recipes, inventory, supplies, expenses and staffing you enter.
- Correspondence — messages you send us, including support requests and waitlist signups.
Information from services you connect
If you connect a point-of-sale system such as Square, we retrieve the data needed to calculate your event profit. That includes completed order and payment totals, processing fees, refunds, discounts, tips, applied sales taxes, item and modifier catalogs, business locations, and timecards with the associated wage rates and staff names. We request read-only access and never initiate charges or modify anything in your POS account.
You can disconnect a point-of-sale integration at any time from Settings, which revokes our access.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics — pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.
- Log data — technical records generated when the application runs, used to diagnose errors and abuse.
How we use it
- To provide the service — calculating event profit, costs, labor and tax figures from the data you and your connected systems supply.
- To operate your account, including authentication and billing.
- To send transactional email such as confirmations, password resets and notifications about your account.
- To improve the product by understanding which features are used and where people encounter problems.
- To protect the service against fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your business or sales data to train machine learning models for other customers.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that make the product work, and only to the extent each needs to do its job:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition — in which case we will give you notice before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are submitted directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. We retain only the subscription status and billing metadata needed to run your account.
How we protect it
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
- Point-of-sale access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored.
- Access to company data is restricted to members of that company, enforced at the database level.
- Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your company or close your account, we delete the associated data, except where we are required to retain records — for example billing history for tax and accounting purposes. Backups and system logs are retained on a rolling basis and expire in the ordinary course.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have corresponding rights under the GDPR.

Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the product is used. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the application will not work without them. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.
Children
Venview is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. We will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will give notice through the application or by email.
